Phones
Android phones cover an enormous range, from $150 budget devices that outperform what flagship phones could do five years ago to $1,300 foldables that are genuinely different from anything that existed before. Covering that range well requires more than rewriting spec sheets.
The AndroidBeep Phones section covers the full Android smartphone market: Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Motorola, Nothing, and everything in between. We review phones across every price tier, compare them against the strongest competition at each price point, and track how they hold up over time, not just at launch.
We pay particular attention to things that matter in real life but rarely show up in spec sheets: how the phone handles after 20 minutes of navigation in summer heat; whether the camera app is fast enough that you do not miss shots; how well the software update track record holds up two years in; and whether the build quality feels like it will last.
Every phone article in this section is written by someone who has used the device. Opinions are based on experience, not press materials. When a phone is excellent, we say so. When it is not worth the money, we say that too.
